Résumé :
While many business schools are teaching Global Operations Strategy with self-made teaching materials, there are no such textbooks. Combining practical approaches with detailed theoretical underpinnings, this book provides theories, tools, frameworks, and techniques for global operations strategy, and brings real world perspectives to students and managers. Each chapter includes definition of key terms, introduction of fundamental theories, several short case examples, one long new case to explain the associated theories, and recommended further reading.
Biographie: Prof. Yeming (Yale) Gong earned a Master degree in INSEAD Business School (France), a PhD in Management from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (the Netherlands) and was a Post-Doctoral Researcher?at the University of Chicago. He studies global operations strategy, facility logistics, and warehouse management. He published a book Stochastic Modelling and Analysis of Warehouse Operations, 31 articles in journals like Production and Operations Management, IIE Transactions, and International Journal of Production Economics, three book chapters in publishers including Springer, and six papers in referred conference proceedings like IEEE conference proceeding. Prof. Gong received 2009 the Best Paper Award in design and manufacturing from IIE, the influential academic association of management engineering in US.
