Osprey's survey of Marines during the second half of the Vietnam War (1955-1975). The period following World War II (1939-1945) saw a number of associated Marine Corps, three of whom fought together during the war in Vietnam from 1965 to 1973. These Corps were similar formations, but each had its own history and traditions: they were the United States Marines, the Vietnamese Marines, and the Korean Marines. Common to them was a reputation for toughness on themselves and any foreign or domestic enemies...
Biographie:
Charles Melson joined the Marines in 1967. Among other conflicts, his service included the war in Vietnam. From 1986, he has been a writer for the Marine Corps Historical Centre and a working member of the Marine Corps Uniform Board. His work for Osprey includes Elite 55: Marine Recon 1940-90 and Warrior 23 US Marine in Vietnam 1965-1973.
Paul Hannon is based in London and is a highly experienced military artist who has produced artwork for several Osprey volumes, including MAA 169: Resistance Warfare and MAA 156: The Royal Marines....
