Daril Bentley's poetry has been compared with that of such diverse poets as Robert Creeley, Robert Frost, Rolf Jacobsen, Mary Oliver, Wallace Stevens, and William Carlos Williams. The Box is the most compelling offering to date of this poet's eclectic and singular artistic vision. Broad ranging in subject matter, life experience, and intellectual exploration, there are poems here for the naturalist, the humanist, the cerebralist, the esthete, the casuist, and the general lover of poetry. With heft, humor, and humanity, these poems examine the box from within and from without.
Biographie:
Daril Bentley has published several books of poetry and is editor of The Bentley Guide to Poets and Poetry in English. He has been a semifinalist for the Yale Series of Younger Poets Award and a finalist for the New Mexico Book Award for Poetry and is recipient of an Honorable Mention in the Writer's Digest International Book Award for Self-Published Poetry. He makes his home in Elmira, New York, with the love of his life, Cilisa.
