This book is the story of a woman who was not defeated by a two-year battle with severe depression and the loss of her two sons and her husband. Shelvie Hutchinson transparently reveals how she first dealt with a period of severe depression and then later dealt with a period of crushing grief. However, this is not a book about martyrdom, just getting by, or even suffering bravely. It is about overcoming tragedies and losses and still living a pleasant, God-honoring, victorious life. Biographie:
Shelvie Hutchinson Smith shares her heart in writing this book that reveals some of the most difficult times of her life. Herstruggles included depression, spiritual warfare, and the loss of her husband and two sons. Through the victory over these battles, God has given her wisdom to help others find hope.Women throughout the country have been renewed through her women's conferences and one to one counseling. She served as the director of the local pregnancy crisis center in Oxford, Mississippi and taught Bible classes in the women's ministry of her church.She now makes her home in Aiken, South Carolina with her husband Herschel Smith. She is the grandmother of Landon and Christin Hutchinson and the great grandmother of Eason James.
