Résumé :
Hope for a better life is the story of two women faced with difficult, life-altering decisions. Margaret Holden, having grown up in England during World War II, comes to America to live with her aunt and uncle in search for a better life. With a promising new job, and while beginning to develop a life for herself in a new country, she is brutally attacked. As a result of the attack, Margaret's life is forever changed. A courageous woman who has always relied on God for strength, Margaret continues to have hope for a better life in America. Emily McMillan, adopted as an infant, always felt chosen by her parents. In the prime of her life, now with a husband, a daughter, and a fulfilling career, Emily receives an unexpected phone call from the adoption agency. The adoption agency has a letter from her birth mother, which they can release to Emily without the identifying information. After receiving the letter Emily struggles about what to do. Hope for a better life is based on the author's miraculous adoption story. It is an inspiring and joyous reminder that God can turn all things for the good. Sometimes even life's most challenging situations can lead to blessings.
