Biographie: Diana Garrisi (PhD in Mass Communication and Journalism, University of Westminster) is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Media and Communication, Xi'an Jiaotong - Liverpool University, China and a Fellow of the Higher Education Association (HEA). She has published in international peer-reviewed journals including Journalism Studies, Early Popular Visual Culture, Media Practice and Education, and Public Understanding of Science. She is co-editor with Jacob Johanssen of the book Disability, Media, and Representations: Other Bodies (Routledge, 2020). Xianwen Kuang (PhD in Journalism, University of Southern Denmark) is an Associate Professor at the Department of Media and Communication, Xi'an Jiaotong - Liverpool University, China and a Fellow of the Higher Education Association (HEA). He has published articles in international peer-reviewed journals, including Journalism, International Journal of Communication, Problems of Post-Communism, Global Media and China, and The China Quarterly.
