Home is a Feeling is a calming, reassuring, softly illustrated book for Alzheimer's patients, persons with dementia, and persons whose current place of residence lacks that feeling of being comfortably home. The all-too-familiar words expressing this uncomfortable feeling and frustration often come out as, I want to go home. Why? Because Alzheimer's, dementia, or even feeling unsettled in a new (or old) home rob a person of home. Home is where a person is not lost in time, or space, or a situation that feels out of control. Home is where we feel comfortable, safe, connected, a sense of time well spent, and a sense of purpose. Home is where we are warm, well-fed, loved and loving, and most of all, understood.
