From the outset there is a strong physical attraction between employer and employee which they both desperately try to fight for their own reasons. Daniel's wife left him without prior warning and he warns Emma that he is not ready for a new commitment. Emma knows that she should not get involved with her ward's father who is technically still married. Emma comes from a boring relationship which left her unfulfilled and getting to know Daniel better only makes her want this attractive, interesting man more. Emma is shocked when she discovers that Daniel is a dominant, but she also knows that he has many other qualities which she admires. Attraction gets the better of common sense and they embark on a passionate love affair. Daniel takes Emma to places thst she could't have imagined in her wildest dreams, In the classroom Emma discovers more about her own erotic desires as well as the dark secrets that torment Daniel's soul.
