In the Mind's Eye is basically a fictional adult serial murder mystery. But, there is a science fiction twist in the narrative. Please keep in mind that the science fiction of today could become the accepted science of tomorrow. Alicia Guthrie is the first female victim of the so-called Dogtown Killer. Alicia's father decides to have her cryogenically interred after her death. During her 38 years in a semi-frozen state, techno-logy has progressed to allow Alicia the chance of revival. Modern medical science has also provided the opportunity to repair her wounds, and tap into her long-term memory. This will possibly lead to the identification of her own murderer. He, however, has no plan to be so easily discovered. In the course of the decades-long serial murder investigation, three areas of science and science fiction are explored.
