Résumé :
As the number of adult patients seeking orthodontic treatment are increasing rapidly, the demand of aesthetic orthodontics has increased, many appliances have been introduced to the market. The ultimate of which are appliances bonded to the lingual surfaces of the teeth. Lingual orthodontics can correct most orthodontics problem that can be treated by conventional labial technique which includes malposition of teeth, anteroposterior discrepancies and preprosthetic surgical cases. This system consists of specially designed brackets which are suitable so as to be placed in the lingual surface of the tooth. With the increased number of adult patients in orthodontic practices, the lingual orthodontic treatment has become a treatment of choice due to its aesthetic appeal for most adults. The purpose of this book is to update practitioners and orthodontic post graduate students on the current concepts of Lingual Orthodontic mechanics. This book will also be beneficial for undergraduate dental students for their theory examinations as this is an important topic for them. Hope this book will benefit all.
