The figure of Ignacio Ellacur?a is fascinating because both his life and his death are the perfect example of his radical commitment to those most in need: the crucified people of the world. This is the hallmark of his rigorous, complex, and multidisciplinary intellectual legacy. Ellacur?a's concerns cannot be understood without a careful look at his philosophical work. Marcela Lisseth Brito de Butter (San Salvador, 1989), es licenciada en Filosof?a por la Universidad Centroamericana Jos? Sime?n Ca?as (UCA) de El Salvador y Doctora en Filosof?a por la Pontificia Universidad Cat?lica de Valpara?so (Chile). Actualmente es catedr?tica del Departamento de Filosof?a de la UCA y directora del Doctorado y la Maestr?a en Filosof?a Latinoamericana de la misma universidad. Ha publicado numerosos art?culos y cap?tulos de libros sobre la figura y el pensamiento de Ignacio Ellacur?a.
