      • Résumé :
Many proclaimed the glory of Fauxbook as the titan of the new generation. With a click came the certainty of friendship, love, and support. A post could deliver the illusion of power to the impotent. Fauxbook was a household name that came with so much control it was impossible to fail...or so everyone thought. It all started with the bomb that killed its founder. Malicious? That's what many thought. And the case? Solved, wrapped up with the killer presented in a neatly tied bow. Fauxbook was entering our lives as a modern-day Trojan horse, and a small team known as the Skunkworks was fighting with everything they had, including their lives, to defeat the enemy within. But could they defeat the enemy without sacrificing their Trojan horse?...

        Biographie:
At sixteen, Joe Zeigler dove into entrepreneurship when he started his first company, Gutter Guard Installation. Since then, he's had his hand in many endeavors, from racing motorbikes and writing textbooks for Kawasaki to opening his riding school and creating a chemical for removing aluminum from the chrome cylinders of seized bike engines.

He is most proud of developing a technique for removing helmets from injured persons. An instruction panel based on Joe's method is now in every emergency room.

Over the years, as technology evolved, Joe grew curious about word processors and computers. He taught himself programming and soon was sharing his knowledge. After successfully launching his computer store, it wasn't long before Joe grew bored and sold that business. Then, following a lengthy chat and more than a few beers with a fire chief, FirePrograms was born, spreading rapidly to consumers worldwide. In 2000, amidst the Y2K panic, Joe wrote the first UPS Manifest system for desktop computers. Still, despite amassing thousands of customers, Joe sold QuickUPS shortly after.

For Joe, the real thrill came from creating. This realization led Joe to chase another passion, writing. Zeigler's third novel delves into the dangers of technology, built from the knowledge of someone involved in its evolution.

Joe finds fulfillment in writing and spends his days traveling with his wife, Lanying, and their cat, Cat. While on the road, he also enjoys photography, biking, and sampling the comfort food of different regions and countries.

        Sommaire:
What many call careers, Joe Zeigler calls interests. Beginning as a firefighter in Williamsburg, Virginia, Zeigler left to earn a degree in fire protection from Oklahoma State University, picking up a BA in business along the way Taking a job as a fire protection engineer with Kemper Insurance somehow led to a ten-year stint as a professional motorcycle racer In 1981, Zeigler founded the Penguin Road Racing School and wrote How to Fly, a how-to manual for motorcycle racers. Intrigued by the developing world of personal computers, he retired from racing to become a consultant for Digital Equipment Corporation Zeigler launched six computer stores and the nation's first computer discount warehouse-only to lose them at the hands of an arsonist. He rebounded to write FirePrograms, a software package for fire departments and the world's first low-priced UPS shipping manifest software. He sold both businesses to focus on his writing....
