Jan Fancy Hull lives in a log chalet beside a quiet lake in Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia, where she has written poetry, fiction, and her debut non-fiction book, Where's Home? Prior to arriving at this idyllic position, she served in various careers, enterprises, pursuits, and avocations, including, but not limited to, arts administrator, radio broadcaster, sailing tours skipper, and employee benefits broker. In the warm months, Jan creates sculptures from Nova Scotian sandstone, which she exhibits in various galleries and shows. She is currently active in the Lunenburg Art Society. Jan Fancy Hull lives in a log chalet beside a quiet lake in Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia, where she has written non-fiction, award-winning poetry, short stories, and novels. In former lives, she worked as a radio broadcaster, arts administrator, sailing tours skipper, and employee benefits broker. During the winter, Jan watches snowflakes fall as she writes. In warm months, she carves Nova Scotia sandstone into sculptures. She enjoys the occasional round of golf, and drifting on the lake in her little boat, which she claims is a great place to edit.In 2022, Jan received the Rita Joe Poetry Prize for her poem, Moss Meditations....
