Résumé :
Charles DuPuy writes a tantalizing story about two soldiers that are caught in the cross fire of life's unexpected twists and turns! -Elizabeth Visgar, United States Army Veteran When travel agent EZ Kelly takes a trip to a luxury resort in the Dominican Republic, she finds danger instead of fun in the sun in the third EZ Kelly mystery. When EZ Kelly runs into Walter McKevly, the U.S. Army General who commanded her Special Forces unit in Afghanistan, she is shocked to learn his life is in danger as he's considering running for the presidential office. He remembers EZ and her heroism as a Special Forces soldier and negotiates with her to be his bodyguard, along with her friend, Paul. EZ agrees to help Walt, temporarily setting aside the life of a carefree vacationing travel agent. With assassins coming after Walt at every turn, EZ and Paul try to figure out who they are up against as the situation escalates and quickly becomes far more dangerous. Can they keep Walt safe as he makes the biggest decision of his life? The General's Guard is charged with adventure, romance, intrigue, humor, suspense, and mystery. Readers won't want to miss it!
Biographie:
Charles M. DuPuy was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but grew up on a dairy farm fifty miles east of there. It was a wonderful bucolic life full of experiences great and small. In school, he loved writing stories to entertain his friends, and hung on to the memories through young adulthood. When he was twenty-one, his wealthy aunt planned a trip around the world with her son and daughter, and invited Charles to join them. He accepted with glee. That introduction to the world fueled a desire to travel that he still enjoys. He's seen Africa as a Peace Corps Volunteer, drove with a buddy to Alaska on the Alcan Highway one summer. He has been to or through nearly all of the fifty states, and to Mexico and Canada as well. Charles got serious about writing when he penned articles for an outdoors magazine, and the commitment grew when the editor took the position of managing editor at Fly Fishing magazine and offered him the editorship of the outdoors magazine. With his depth of experience, it was natural that he began writing longer prose. Short stories came first, and finally a novel idea was born. Say the Word was his first serious full-length novel. Easy Kill and Saving Melissa are part of his EZ Kelly series. Follow Charles on his website, CharlesMDuPuyAuthor.com or find him on social media.
