Résumé :
The contributors to this volume provide an overview of a broad spectrum of the processes and functions of poetic and artistic references to Paul Celan. They discuss different variations of continuation, appropriation and reminiscence, of affirmative and appreciatively critical reprocessing of images and linguistic and stylistic qualities of Celan's poetry, of poetic programmes and ideals that have been reduced to congealed quotes. The object of interest thereby is the productivity put into these references for the dynamics of cultivating tradition in different media. The volume reveals how through references to Celan issues concerning aesthetic exemplariness and the moral obligation of art are negotiated and poetological legitimatory discourses develop.
Biographie:
Dr. Natalia Blum-Barth ist wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Inst. fÜr Allg. und Vergleichende Literaturwissenschaft an der JGU Mainz. Dr. Christine Waldschmidt ist wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin fÜr Neuere deutsche Literaturwissenschaft am Deutschen Institut der JGU Mainz.
