Résumé : Named one of TIME magazine's 100 Best YA Books of All Time
Impossible to put down. - Kirkus, starred review
Nishat doesn't want to lose her family, but she also doesn't want to hide who she is, and it only gets harder once a childhood friend walks back into her life. Fl?via is beautiful and charismatic, and Nishat falls for her instantly. But when a school competition invites students to create their own businesses, both Fl?via and Nishat decide to showcase their talent as henna artists. In a fight to prove who is the best, their lives become more tangled-but Nishat can't quite get rid of her crush, especially since Fl?via seems to like her back.
As the competition heats up, Nishat has a decision to make: stay in the closet for her family, or put aside her differences with Fl?via and give their relationship a chance.
Biographie:
Adiba Jaigirdar is the critically-acclaimed and bestselling author of The Henna Wars and Hani & Ish?s Guide to Fake Dating. A Bangladeshi/Irish writer and teacher, she has an MA in Postcolonial Studies from the University of Kent, England and a BA in English and History from UCD, Ireland. All of her writing is aided by tea, and a healthy dose of Janelle Mon?e and Hayley Kiyoko. When not writing, she is probably ranting about the ills of colonialism, playing video games, or expanding her overflowing lipstick collection. She can be found on Twitter and on Instagram
