Nick DiMartino is the author of twenty-two novels published by University Book Store Press, most of them set in Seattle, and has had over twenty plays in full-run productions across the United States. His University Ghost Story was the number one bestselling paperback of the year. His Dracula, Pinocchio, and The Snow Queen premiered at Seattle Children's Theater. His Frankenstein premiered at the Honolulu Theater of Youth, and sold out in Nashville, Louisville, Dallas and Milwaukee. His four-woman Victorian vampire thriller, The Red Forest, won second place at the 1987 Pacific Northwest Writers Conference. His Italian farce, Stop the Wedding! was a finalist in the 1988 New City Theater Playwrights Festival. His new version of Babes in Toyland, with the original music of Victor Herbert, was the 1994 opening production of the new Village Theater in Issaquah, Washington. He was the campus book buyer for University Book Store for fifty years.
