Résumé : The book develops a theory of manner modification with both manner adjectives and manner adverbs in its scope. It proposes an analysis that keeps the semantics uniform across all of its uses, but remains strictly compositional while being grounded in a careful independent examination of its (morpho)syntax. As a result, it offers a holistic and at the same time restrictive theory, which has been largely missing in this domain so far.
