Présentation Demystifying Corporate America Format Relié

Résumé :
EVERY YEAR, thousands of eager young professionals-armed to the teeth with advanced degrees from the best institutions and inculcated with an idealized philosophy of business-enter the arena of Corporate America believing that the keys to their success lay solely in performance, impact, and visibility. Then reality quickly disillusions them. No one told them the rules of the Game they're playing. Demystifying Corporate America is an energizing and straightforward look at the tacit reality of the corporate Game. Drawing on thirty years of global leadership experience at several of the world's leading corporations, Curtiss Jacobs reveals the challenges and stumbling blocks you will encounter as you try to navigate the corporate landscape. His more contrarian view of the corporate arena shows you the workarounds and a viable path forward- one that preserves your decency and your humanity-on the pursuit of a fulfilling career, and life, in Corporate America....
Biographie:
Curtiss Jacobs, born in Savannah, Georgia, but a lifelong New Yorker, spent over thirty years working in the financial services sector in various senior leadership roles at such global companies as AIG, Pitney Bowes, Merrill Lynch, Bank of America, and Citigroup, where he developed and implemented transformation strategies to mitigate risk, improve global organizational efficiency and effectiveness, and drive growth globally. Prior to his career on Wall Street, Curtiss was a successful fashion and celebrity photographer, honing his skills working as a full-time assistant under legendary photographers Richard Avedon and Annie Leibovitz. In 2009, he opened the doors to Renaissance Fine Art of Harlem (since rebranded Curtiss Jacobs Gallery), with the mission to provide exhibition and curatorial opportunities to underserved communities. He also cofounded and serves as managing partner of Uptown Advisory Group LLC (UAG), a boutique business management consultancy based in New York City, and recently rejoined Citigroup as transformation executive. He is passionately committed to lifetime service and has served on the boards of 100 Black Men of America, World of Money, Project Art, and other nonprofit organizations that focus on improving communities by investing in people through advocacy, scholarships, mentoring, education, access to health and wellness programs, and economic empowerment initiatives. Curtiss earned a BS in Management and Communications from Adelphi University, where he now serves on the President's Advisory Council. He holds an MBA in International Business from Northeastern University in Boston. Curtiss is an executive coach, public speaker, and lecturer on corporate career navigation, entrepreneurship, and matters of equity, diversity, and inclusion. Curtiss lives in New York City.
