Have you ever wondered where God was when you went through a painful experience? Do you find yourself asking why things have been so difficult and there often seems to be no end to the suffering you or a loved one are experiencing? Are you confused why someone you love is stuck in seemingly endless moments of self-destructive behavior? Have you ever accused God of failing or forgetting you? How do you respond when there seems to be no reason to continue to hope? These are things the author talks about as he shares his own journey of faith. While he has experienced a great deal of pain and trauma in his life, these experiences have allowed him to understand God's love and grace in a much deeper way. His story connects the dots that clearly demonstrates how God orchestrates everything and used people, the Scriptures, and the Holy Spirit to lead, encourage, convict, and change his heart as well as the direction of his life.
Biographie:
John Mayner has an M.Div and has retired from the Air Force after 27 years in uniform and has a heart for those who struggle with difficult questions about life and God. Having experienced a great deal of trauma in his own life and living with chronic nerve pain has allowed him to experience the love and compassion of God in a very real way. His previous book, My Journey in Psalms, was his first-person rendition of the Psalms that changed the way he saw God and His interactions in his heart and life. This book is the story behind much of that pain and offers examples of hope and God's wonderous work in changing his heart.
