Dr. Mitzi Williams is a doctor of podiatric medicine. She specializes in pediatric/adult reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. These books would also help the siblings of the child. Dr. Williams' compassion and understanding are far-reaching as she has traveled as far as Vietnam and Nepal to perform surgery for children and adults. My Boots along with its sequel entitled My Big Boots are both dedicated to the children worldwide born with clubfoot. We find these books to be helpful tools in speaking with children about their clubfoot diagnosis. These books also are helpful in aiding in any conversation with siblings and friends of children with clubfoot.
Biographie:
Mitzi Williams DPM, FACFAS is a pediatric foot and lower extremity surgeon who specializes in congenital deformities. Dr. Williams and her colleague, Dr. Scott Kaiser, direct the Pediatric and Infant Foot Deformity Clinic at Kaiser Permanente in Oakland, California.She is an attending surgeon at the SF Bay Area Foot and Ankle Residency Program. Dr. Williams is internationally recognized for her expertise in treating pediatric foot and lower extremity deformities.
