Biographie:
Barry Agnew was born in New Mexico, and after moving to Texas as a child, he continued to spend summers on his family's ranch in southwestern New Mexico. He returned to New Mexico and has taught elementary students for twenty-seven years. He continues to spend time on his family's ranch as well as leading worship at Trinity Church.

Bec and Johnny meet just before their kindergarten year in a small town in southwestern New Mexico. Her family moves to the area to take care of her grandma, Nana, but they soon begin to foster children as well. One foster child, Donovan, joins Bec and Johnny for epic adventures as he learns to face and overcome his fears. Over the years, Johnny wonders if there could possibly be more than just friendship with Bec. Now, he wonders if he will ever be able to live again.
