Counting Down Jazzy is a book about subtraction. Jazzy is a brown and white dog. She eats one of ten cupcakes to make nine. She eats one apple from nine to make eight. She continues to take away one until finally, she is down to one cat. What will she do with the Cat?


Counting Down Jazzy is a wonderful way to teach how to count or to count backward. The repetitive and rhyming scheme builds confidence in early readers. Beautiful photos converted to lifelike illustrations accompany the rhyming text.

Biographie:
Sonja McGiboney obtained her Bachelors of Music degree from West Virginia University in 1987. When working on her master's degree she met and married Dale then followed him on his twenty-five-year Army Band career. She has self-published twenty books in the Jazzy's Books series. Each book combines beautiful photography with lyrical writing and rhyme to create engaging, concept books for young children. Her dog Jazzy is the star in all of them.In June, 2023, Sonja, Dale and Jazzy moved to Gadsden, AL to be closer to her family and continues to write from her new home in Gadsden. Another Jazzy book is in the works as well as several middle-grade novels. Sonja loves helping others who wish to get into writing and has made available a free Self-Publishing guide on her website.
