First, he didn't believe in God. Truthfully he knew of him but didn't know him. All he knew about Jesus is that he was the one hanging on the cross in church. Barry was a man that went through life thinking everything was pointless. That life had no meaning unless you were famous or wealthy. Now he could never get these things. Mainly because of the life he chose. He was locked up many times, adding up to a lot of years. What he was around for, the drugs overtook. He even tried to leave this world by his own hand. Until one day in jail, he met a Christian man. The one God chose to work through. You see it was his time. He found a little faith inside for God. Honestly gave him 100% of his life. God's gift was a new life, one he never knew before. Yes, he spent 40 years with the devil as his ruler. Thinking the ways of the world was the only way to live. Now, he's not even close to who he once was.
