I should've known it wasn't going to be easy. Almost lost my luggage? Check. Late for my first meeting with my advisor? Check. Living a semester in a city I know nothing about? Check. Not knowing what to expect and anxiety eating away at me? Also check. Unexpected feelings swirling inside of me when I'm with Matt? Ugghhh..... What's happening? Studying abroad is never what you expect it to be. Maybe it's because you never know who you are going to meet, what you're going to do, or if you will even pass your classes! It is a time when you choose willingly to live an entire semester in a country that is completely different from your own. It can sometimes make you wonder- was this a good idea to begin with? As an overthinker who is unsure about her career path, Juliet experiences her trip abroad in the city of Verona, Italy. She hopes she will fall in love with the culture, the views, and most importantly, the gelato. She also hopes that it will finally help her find her path as an Italian language teacher. But, when an unexpected turn of events happens, she needs to learn how to spread her wings, meet new people, and let go of her anxieties that hold her back. Will she let her head hold her back from following her heart? Or will the romance and beauty of Northern Italy be enough to help her master her dreams and find out who she truly wants to be?
