Présentation Littoral Format Broché
- Livre Littérature Générale
Résumé :
This fascinating volume of lyrical poetry is comprised of two ways with words. The first is nature journal as lyrical poetry, a reporting in which the poet-chronicler takes us into a new and watery world with discoveries miles from what I had in mind, each episodic movement an arrival. The second is juxtaposed anecdotes that connect with each other in multiple and surprising relations (three, a fourth, and then a fifth sequential). Writing of this kind sometimes flirts with playful surrealism and post-modern montage. The two ways with words are often found together in remarkable and convincing movements. Littoral is a laudable achievement. It is a wonderful relaxing read filled with beautiful imagery. Vibrant and alive, each page has a life of its own....
Biographie:
Charles D. Tarlton is a retired political science professor who taught at Universities in Victoria, BC CANADA, California and New York and is Professor Emeritus, University at Albany, The State University of New York. Poetry has always been central in his life, even as he pursued a career and a living teaching political ideas. In recent years he has focused almost entirely on writing poems, and this offering Reflections on Edmund Burke is his most recent work. He lives on the shore, now, in Connecticut, with his wife, Ann Knickerbocker, an abstract painter, and Nikki, their black standard poodle.
