Private Investigator Henry Walsh and his partner, Alex, are at it again with another mystery they may not be able to solve. Could this case be their last together? Gregory Payette writes crime fiction, mysteries, and thrillers and is the author of the Henry Walsh Private Investigator series. His crime fiction includes Drag the Man Down, Half Cocked, Danny Womack's .38, and the new Joe Sheldon series. He spent the early part of his career in marketing and advertising, plus wrote fundraising letters and emails for nonprofits. He got his feet wet as an author writing nonfiction books, but soon realized making up stories for a living was much more fun. His books and short stories include fun and exciting mysteries with plenty of twists and turns, plus his thrilling crime fiction novels, always with plenty of heart-pounding action and a touch of dark humor. Raised in the tiny state of Rhode Island in southeastern New England, today Gregory lives in North Carolina with his wife and kids and his dog, Jake.

Gregory has written over twenty-three books, and is the author of four mystery and crime fiction series, including the Henry Walsh Private Investigator series, the US Marshal Charlie Harlow series, the Joe Sheldon crime series, and the new Jake Horn mysteries. His standalone crime novels include Drag the Man Down, Half Cocked, Danny Womack's .38, Biscayne Boogie, and a number of published short stories.He won his first award as a writer at ten years old, after sending a story to the Providence Journal about his pet husky being shot by a local farmer. The writing most likely wasn't very good, but the fact a young boy's dog was shot (true story!) tugged at the editor's heart strings just enough.His dog, luckily, survived.But that wasn't a paid gig, so years later he ended up in advertising. He eventually became a copywriter, specializing in direct mail and writing fundraising letters to help raise money for animals and children.The first book he wrote was nonfiction, but he quickly realized he wasn't smart enough to be giving anyone advice. He finally decided making up lies for a living would be much more fun.Somehow, he became an author.Raised in Providence, Rhode Island, Gregory lives with his wife, kids, and his dog, Jake, in North Carolina....
