Biographie: Dr Ihsan is working in the areas of materials electrochemistry at Mechanical Engineering Department, King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM). After his graduation from Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology (KAIST), he joined Coating & Corrosion Research Center of Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI), South Korea as a senior research engineer. Dr. Ihsan's research focus is mainly on the development of new corrosion and wear resistant materials to overcome material degradation challenges in different industries. He is conducting in-depth in-situ/ex-situ investigations on multiple aspects of material development as well as material/environmental interactions to improve their overall performance. Some of his ongoing research activities include but not limited to the development of metallic alloys, in-situ/ex-situ oxide film characterizations, electrodeposited/nanocomposite coatings, erosion corrosion in carbonated environments, and other related areas. From corrosion engineering perspective, he had conducted various investigations to improve infrastructure reliability. Over the past several years, Dr. Ihsan has completed numerous funded projects and published/presented his work in many international journals and conferences. Currently Dr. Ihsan is also serving as an affiliate of Interdisciplinary Research Center (IRC) for Advanced Materials at KFUPM.
