Brooke Ellison is an author, public speaker, two-time Harvard graduate, scholar, humanitarian, and survivor. Living for more than thirty years with quadri?plegia, Brooke has dedicated her life to hope, resilience, and empowerment.A policy and ethics expert in stem cell research for more than fifteen years, Brooke has been committed to changing the perception of life-saving science. From 2007 to 2014, Brooke served on the Empire State Stem Cell Board, which designed New York State's stem cell policy. As a faculty member at Stony Brook University, Brooke serves as director of the Center for Community Engagement and Leadership Development, empowering underserved communities.The details of Brooke's life have been widely covered in publications and television programs, such as The New York Times, People magazine, the Today show, Good Morning America, and Larry King Live.
