Biographie:
Jim McBride is a native of Huntsville, AL, where he graduated from Lee High School in 1965. After graduation, Jim was a United States Postal Service Letter Carrier for fourteen years before making the move to Nashville in 1981 at 33-years of age. He apparently had something to write about when he arrived.His songs have been recorded by Johnny Cash, George Jones, Reba McEntire, Alabama, Willie Nelson, Charley Pride, Kris Kristofferson, Randy Travis, Brenda Lee, Travis Tritt, The Oak Ridge Boys, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chet Atkins, Toby Keith, Gene Watson, Dwight Yoakam, Mickey Gilley, Luke Bryan, Patty Loveless, Keith Whitley, and Johnny Paycheck and many more major label artists over Jim's 35-year career on Nashville's Music Row.McBride's awards include a CMA Song of the Year Award, numerous awards and recognition from ASCAP, BMI, NSAI, NARAS, CMA, AMA, ACM, CCMA, Billboard Magazine, American Songwriter Magazine and the Creator's Award from the Alabama Music Hall of Fame....
