Gerontology is a relevant multidisciplinary knowledge and practice in a context such as the current one in which there is a socio-demographic explosion of older adults in the whole world. This affirmation based on reliable data of reality obliges political decision-makers and societies themselves to promote and provide an immeasurable amount of resources, support, aid and supportive accompaniment to an enormous number of elderly people, most of them over-aged.Many aspects of the subject matter of this book have to do with human subjectivity, the awareness of irreversible time and the historical future, almost a sociology of the daily life of the elderly.There is no lack of references in these short essays to the time, society and political circumstances of the current generations of old people....
