Beyond these horrors, an Arch Demon has recruited the Kore-Megara, a Kavern of women, versed in the art of dark sorcery and weapons mastery. Gwen's future looks bleak and short, but she's not alone. Bex, a surgeon from a nearby hospital has a secret and upon seeing Gwen, knows it can remain a secret no more. The rapid increase in both possessed and Hound activity has attracted the Seraphim Collective, who are concerned by the attraction to Gwen. Being the daughter of one of their own they set about protecting her, keeping her in the dark as to what hunts her. Seb and Harry, two powerful assets of the Collective along with Bex create a shield about Gwen, who is oblivious to it all. A demon walks the earth who shouldn't be able to take corporeal form here, this in turn attracts the two high priestesses of the Earth and living Avatars of her will, the Ladies Jenharim Duquesne and Madeline Cortez,. They are in fact the ancient White and Red dragon of mythology and they take Gwen to New Mexico to keep her safe, but safety is an illusion they cannot maintain and the darkness catches up with Gwen, shattering her idyll and catapulting her into a war she had been shielded from, one that will demand the ultimate sacrifice from her. But is Gwen prepared to pay it and accept the consequences of such an act? Should she survive such a decision she would be tasked with an impossible quest.
