Biographie:
Colonel (retired) János Besenyö served as a professional soldier between 1987 and 2018, and from 2018 he is an associate professor at the Obuda University, Doctoral School for Safety and Security Sciences, head of the Africa Research Institute. His research interests include contemporary and recent history of Africa, terrorism, migration, peacekeeping operations in Africa, with special focus on Western Sahara. He served in several peacekeeping missions. In 2014, he established the Scientific Research Centre of the Hungarian Defence Forces General Staff and led it between 2014-2018. His most recent publication is "Hungary and the Crisis in Western Sahara" (Monarchia Ltd, 2020).
