This colorful and informative book is a compact introduction to the major Biblical Festivals put forward in Leviticus, together with several minor ones as well as a more extensive presentation of Passover. The first half of the compendium describes and follows the traditional Jewish calendar and descriptions in presenting the Biblical festivals outlined in Leviticus 23 and foreshadowed in other Scriptural passages. A contemporary Haggadah for celebrating the Passover Seder is included in the second half of the book which carries forward all the traditional elements in its outline, components, instructions, and prayers. In addition, and in harmony with the tradition of keeping our Haggadah fresh and relevant, we have enhanced its timeless format with additional Scripture verses, songs, and other materials that support the underlying theme of Pesach....

Biographie:
Dr. Morehouse was raised in a traditional Christian home in the 1950's and functionally became a humanist during college and medical school in the 1960's. After completing his medical residency in Family Medicine in the early 1970's he embarked on a career of serving the poor but soon found that his secular faith and alternative lifestyle were woefully inadequate to the task. In 1974 he underwent a dramatic conversion from the philosophy and lifestyle he had been living to a wholehearted commitment to Jesus as his Lord and Savior. After returning to medicine and marrying in 1975, he and his wife have dedicated themselves to growing in faith, raising their family of four children (plus eight grandchildren), and providing Christ-centered service to some of the most disadvantaged members of their community. Since retiring from active clinical practice in July 2018, Dr. Morehouse has devoted himself to study, writing, and teaching about the Kingdom of God. He has had long personal and professional experience with the material covered in the work published under the Celebrate Salvation trade label by His Kingdom Press....

Dr. Morehouse has been a committed Christian for over 45 years. As a family physician, he joined with others in founding a comprehensive faith-based medical clinic where he and his colleagues have ministered to thousands of people in body, soul, and spirit over the decades. In the 1980s he was involved in establishing medical relief in South Lebanon during the country's civil war and began drawing close to the heritage, land, and people of Israel in the process. In community with many others, Dr. Morehouse and his wife and family were introduced to the Biblical festivals and have observed them and celebrated Passover together on numerous occasions. Since graduating into retirement in 2018 Dr. Morehouse has been devoted to continued spiritual growth, study, writing, and teaching about the Kingdom of God.
