K.B. Sprague is a Canadian epic fantasy writer and physicist, having attained his doctorate at the University of Western Ontario. With more than twenty years of field experience ranging from nuclear and particle physics to military wargaming, emerging technologies, and artificial intelligence, Sprague has no shortage of unconventional ideas and it shows in his latest fictional creations. He currently serves as a subject matter expert on emerging technologies and lives on a quiet hobby farm with his family. K.B. Sprague is a Canadian epic fantasy writer and physicist. Born in small-town Northern Ontario, he developed a true appreciation of the natural world during his youngest years. K.B. Sprague went on to attend universities in Southern Ontario, earning a doctorate in theoretical physics. Summer work terms still kept him grounded in the North though, spent working in a uranium mine and mineral prospecting camps. After graduating, he took on physics and computing research projects in the natural resources, defense, and security sectors. Topics varied widely, with excursions into nuclear and particle physics, medical imaging, directed energy, geomodelling, complex systems, war games, and emerging technologies. K.B.
