Présentation Are We A Bus? Format Broché
- Livre Littérature Générale
Résumé :
World's greatest guitarist The Doctor, Jurgen Weislangwolf's latest tour was locked down and ready to kick off like any other tour. But an ex-stage manager had other plans, waiting for his chance to get back out on the road. Without any fanfare, the tour started with an unnoticed set of eyes watching every detail. Hardened tour professionals Jeb and Neusy can easily navigate any tour loaded with con men and rip off artists in their path. When murder and mayhem started to become an obstacle, the success of the tour became dependent on them keeping the band safe. Content and enjoying his new life on the road, the ex-stage manager always watching and waiting for his opportunity to create chaos, which increased once he realized the incompetence of the two FBI agents that were assigned to the tour. Comedy and satire on an already humorous industry where vile and disreputable people have been known to ruin many careers. A wild and zany rock tour filled with whimsical characters around every corner. From promoters always trying to gain an upper hand to having to share the stage with absurd opening bands and working for a guitarist with an ego the size of Florida, Jeb and Neusy the consummate tour professionals always seem to have their hands on the pulse of every situation even when their bass player goes missing. Life on a crowded bus also has its challenges for tour manager Jeb Acorns and his stage manager Kurt Neustadt. With a band of Austrian musicians, just happy to be on tour and a crew consisting of the foul mouthed but steady stage hand Hocker Flemming and the homesick merchandise assistant Marlon Jiggs, constantly searching for the nearest marijuana dispensary to help ease him from being away from his family. Keeping the bus on schedule is always a problem even for the experienced bus driver Cal Crabs who only years earlier was driving the monster truck circuit. But once the murders started it was impossible. The ex-stage manager was always there watching and waiting for his moments while perfecting his spice rubs for the critters he was hunting. About The Authors: Kent Niepert - An accomplished guitarist that has been playing live since he was a teen. Kent has worked and performed on multiple continents most recently in Asia. An American citizen that has been living in Beijing since 2009. Kent has been a performer and a stage tech for a variety of live events including large music festivals, concert tours, and TV shows. Currently he is a stage tech for his son's band, Cujo. Jeff Agins - He was given the opportunity to join a national rock tour in the nineties. Several years later he produced a five day guitar seminar along with three concerts that included many high profile artists on the campus of UCLA. A year later once again at the famed music school Musician's Institute in Los Angeles. Jeff has been involved with tour production and tour managing for many years after including events and tours in North America, New Zealand and Europe. Jeff has worked with or produced shows with a lengthy list of artists over the years. Kent and Jeff first met during the UCLA production. A year later Kent stepped forward to offer his help with the production of the five day seminar and concerts at Musicians Institute. The two formed a close friendship and after many more collaborations on the stage decided to write a fictional comedic version of what it is like being part of a tour.
