In Brian Glaser's third collection, meditations on spirituality and art continue to permeate his work. These poems are organized around the seasons, one cycle of the four seasons and microseasons within them. Difficult Joy focuses on how our ways of relating have changed in deep and perhaps lasting ways. At the center of this collection is a translation of H?lderlin's Bread and Wine.
Biographie:
Brian Glaser is the author of five books of poetry and many essays on poetry and poetics. He lives in Santa Ana, California, and teaches art and history at Chapman University.
