Excerpt from Charles W. Thompson (Late a Representative From Alabama): Memorial Addresses Delivered in the House of Representative and Senate, Second Session of the Fifty-Eighth Congress
Mr. Wiley, of Alabama. Mr. Speaker, it becomes my painful duty to announce to the House the untimely death of my late distinguished colleague, Hon. Charles win ston thompson, who was the Representative from the Fifth Congressional district of Alabama in the Fifty seventh and Fifty-eighth Congresses. Later on in the ses sion I shall ask this House to take appropriate action in regard to the death of my deceased friend and colleague.
I now send to the Clerk's desk and ask the reading and immediate adoption of the following resolutions.
