Biographie:
Alika and Rahul Rai are a typical mum and dad couple. Their focus has been on raising great children, and their priority has been the family unit. They have careers and have worked in their jobs for a number of years. However, their mindset is different. Their pay cheque goes towards growing real assets which have brought them to a point of financial independence. It hasn't always been plain sailing with challenging tenants, peaks and troughs in the market, and even a rather large earthquake! But because they understand the long-term nature of the buy-and-hold strategy, nothing has made any impact on the end result (not even the earthquake). They have achieved total financial freedom and now have the sole goal of sharing their fifteen years of experience and helping others to do the same. Since getting into property investment accidentally, it's now become their passion. They have read almost every book that exists on the subject and have combined these learnings with their own experience and principles to achieve their success. Their strategy is particularly relevant in these turbulent economic times as the buy-and-hold system does not depend on the current market conditions. Alika and Rahul also have an effective strategy for sharing their wealth through perpetual philanthropy. The concept here is that the eventual mortgage-free rents of some houses will go to charities in New Zealand and overseas.
