She was part of a large family consisting of six siblings. Beverly Butts graduated from Oscar Smith High School in Chesapeake, Virginia, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Old Dominion University. She has worked twenty-eight years with children and families in the human services field. Beverly Butts is dedicated and passionate about stabilizing families and advocating for children. She has been a member of Victory Life Church, located in Hampton, Virginia, for seventeen years. Beverly Butts is saved, baptized, and filled with the Holy Spirit as evidenced by her speaking in tongues. She is excited about spreading the gospel and winning souls to Christ.
