Learn to build and implement a robust Oracle E-Business Suite system using the new release, EBS 12.2. This hands-on, real-world guide explains the rationale for using an Oracle E-Business Suite environment in a business enterprise and covers the major technology stack changes from EBS version 11i through R12.2. You will learn to build up an EBS environment from a simple single-node installation to a complex multi-node high available setup. Practical Oracle E-Business Suite focuses on release R12.2, but key areas in R12.1 are also covered wherever necessary. Detailed instructions are provided for the installation of EBS R12.2 in single and multi-node configurations, the logic and methodology used in EBS patching, and cloning of EBS single-node and complex multi-node environments configured with RAC. This book also provides information on FMW used in EBS 12.2, as well as performance tuning and EBS 12.2 on engineered system implementations.
Biographie: Syed Zaheer is currently working as a Senior Oracle Apps DBA for the largest stock exchange in the Middle East and North Africa. He has a decade of experience in the implementation and management of Oracle E-Business suites, Oracle HA Stack, Oracle Fusion Middleware, and Oracle Databases. Zaheer has deep experience in managing Oracle Enterprise Linux 5/6 and Oracle Solaris 10/11. He is an active member of Oracle technology forums and Oracle awarded him the status of GURU for his contributions. He is also an active member of the Toad World community and has published many articles on www.toadworld.com and is Oracle certified in Operating Systems, Application, Databases, Engineered systems, and Middle ware. Zaheer has been part of more than 30 successful E-Business suite Implementations/Upgrades/Migrations from version 11i to version R12.2.4. He has domain knowledge in diversified business verticals including financials, FMCG, manufacturing, and consulting. Zaheer is an active blogger since 2008 and has published 100+ unique articles on his blog http://appsdbaworkshop.com with 400K + hits. He is also a book reviewer and reviewed books on Oracle technologies. Erman Arslan is currently working as an Applications and Database Operations Manager and the Leading Oracle Consultant for Partnera Consulting Services. He is a Principle Apps DBA, Oracle-certified Linux and Certified Exadata Admin with lots of field experience in several Oracle projects implemented in several sectors such as banking, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, retail, telecommunications, transportation, oil and gas, TV, and more. Arslan has completed several migration projects, as well as 3 EBS 12.2 projects from scratch. As part of the support work, he has managed more than 15 Critical Customer Production Environments (mostly EBS, but also including Exadata, SSO, OID, and Weblogic Application Servers).
