Our Post Corona lives will forever be marred by the terrible destruction from the 2020-2021 pandemic that swept through the world, claiming so many lives, leaving countless losses in our families, neighborhoods and communities. In the aftermath, we are all affected by what happened, and children especially, may lack the words to express their heightened feelings of restlessness, confusion and vulnerability.
How has the pandemic affected our children? Despite parent's best efforts, the changes in our lives bought about by the virus impacted who we saw, what we did, and how we felt. Our children absorbed and experienced the impact the pandemic had on our daily lives, our ability to be together with family and friends, and to celebrate rituals and holiday celebrations. It left a hole in the very fabric of our lives. NO PRAYER IS EVER WASTED will help them.
As life as we previously knew it resumes, we need to address the feelings of our young people, to allow them to reflect and gain a sense of closure in order to feel safe and secure in G-d's Hands. There is no question we have lived through an unforgettable time. There is no question that, NO PRAYER IS EVER WASTED, will help children identify with the main character and begin a vital healing process. At the conclusion of the novella a section filled with creative opportunities encourage young readers to express their thoughts and feelings.
