Résumé :
Jake woke in the middle of the night with his heart pounding. Something had startled him out of a dream. What was it? He strained his eyes to see in the dark. A beam of moonlight shone through the skylight, allowing him to see the outline of the other bunk bed. His younger sister Sierra's breathing was the only sound in the bunkhouse. Had he heard his parents moving around in the main cabin? He didn't think so. Then he heard the noise again. Howling. Eleven-year-old Jake Reynolds dreams of saving seal pups from the talons of bald eagles, protecting his little sister Sierra and confronting the wolf he is sure stalks Hidalgo Island. His best friend Emily, who calls him a chicken, insists there are no wolves on the island. Jake is determined to prove her wrong, but when he and Emily go in search of adventure he finds more than he bargained for-and discovers things about himself that he never knew existed.
