Présentation No Strings Attached Format Broché

Résumé :
Political literacy can be compared to smart shopping. Increasing one's political awareness is like reading the ingredients labels in the grocery store. It gives people a better sense the relevance, accessibility, and potential of political agency on a personal level. This serious, sometimes alarming, but always empowering book offers insight into the benefits to both individuals and societies of cultivating greater political literacy. The authors strive to present the subject without agenda, bias, or regionalism, in order to maintain a broad appeal to voters and consumer of mass media of any given political persuasion. The book is for readers feeling overwhelmed by info overload, and want to better navigate the avalanche of political information and misinformation we're all exposed to daily, and wish to make better decisions.
Biographie:
Chris Homan was born to English parents in Dallas, Texas, and started fixing airplanes as an electrician in the U.S. Air Force after high school. Chris nourished his love of travel while getting to explore many cultures throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. After leaving the Air Force, he used the GI Bill to earn his PhD in business management. In between overseas jobs, Chris hiked the Appalachian Trail, the Annapurna Circuit, the Camino Santiago, and most recently the Pacific Crest Trail. Since then, Chris has made his home on Whidbey Island, Washington, where he can take in the forests, beaches, and waterfalls on a daily basis. He enjoys hiking, waxing philosophical with his friends (with anyone who will listen, really), snowboarding, and taking long walks with Mick, his German Shepherd. He still gets the travel bug, and loves to travel with friends whenever possible.
