This Teacher's Book contains: ? Piano accompaniments for the solf?ge exercises in the Student's Book ? Transposition of the accompaniments into the relevant key, where required ? Recordings of the piano accompaniment in two versions: a) the melody with the accompaniment, b) only the accompaniment. Accompanying the solf?ge exercises on a piano or other polyphonic instrument is highly recommended, as this will help the students acquire tonal accuracy as well as a sense of tempo and meter. It will also teach them the importance of style, nuances and breathing during a performance. Each exercise has a short piano introduction, an element that will cultivate the students' sense of rhythm and musical instinct. Solf?ge exercises are the link between music theory and music as an art form. Developing the musicality of students through solf?ge exercises, is an approach that can be transferred to their interpretation when playing a musical instrument. The solf?ge exercises in this book are original compositions in a small format. These mini compositions may also prove useful as a repository of exercises for the teaching of musical instruments or in a choir....
Biographie:
Chrisa Kitsiou was born in Larissa, Greece, in 1978. She holds a Master of Music Education degree from the Ionian University and a Bachelor of Music degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Ms. Kitsioualso holds piano and music theory diplomas from the Conservatory of Northern Greece, Thessaloniki, and the Achilleon Conservatory in Larisa. Currently, she teaches piano at the Music High School of Corfu. Her vast experience as a pianist includes several opera productions with the Choir of Thessaloniki, as well as ballet examinations of the London Royal Academy of Dance in collaboration with the British Council. She has participated in orchestras and small ensembles, and has given many solo recitals of varied repertoire, including classical, Greek, jazz and Latin music. She has accompanied choirs, instrumentalists and singers in concerts, festivals and opera galas in Greece and abroad. In addition to teaching piano, Ms. Kitsiou specializes in ear training and music theory, having taught piano, choir, and music theory at several conservatories and music schools including the Private Institute for Occupational Training (Department of sound engineering) in Thessaloniki. Chrisa Kitsiou has written articles on music aptitude tests and piano teaching techniques and is the author of Music Theory, Solf?ge, Developing Aural Skills. http://www.theoriamousikis.gr/...
