Reading comprehension allows the learner to construct new ideas from a text. This process is fundamental in the learning of the English language, the learner acquires new vocabulary while incorporating different literary styles, associating own ideas with new ideas to validate a new discourse. The active and participative methodological strategies allow the reading process to be much more interesting and enriching. In this sense, the teacher's planning, based on knowledge of the needs of his or her students, is fundamental.
