Présentation The Prophesy Format Broché
- Livre Littérature Générale
Résumé : The Prophesy Byddwch yn blant hardd o'r Llygad Serpents, er eich bod yn cael eich colli, gallaf anadlu gobaith i galonnau a dod ? chi adref. Deffro i'm gair a dod o hyd i'r gwir olau. The place known as the Forbidden Lands stretches out way beyond the northern mountains where man fears to venture. From this place emanates an all-consuming blackness, which threatens to fill the heart of those who seek only evil. The sorcerer Ashaman is one who's mind is corrupted by the forces of dark energy For him the hidden beast has grown fierce and powerful while across the land righteousness grows less and less. Fear and hate have become Ashaman's song of war, hope and salvation the cry of but a few honest folk. Rufus Jack, he who they called the People's Liberator is one of those honest people, yet one who has become scarred by doubt and bitterly haunted by the memory of past mistakes. His power has been brought into question by the murder of his wife, Moone and the kidnapping of Aurora, his estranged and illegitimate child. Anger and a deep-seated rage now gnaw constantly at his gut, making him believe he is condemned to grieve forever The memory of Ashaman's evil deeds remain forever fresh in his resentful mind even though the acts themselves occurred many years before. Rufus Jack, lost in his own thoughts has become obsessed by the search for his daughter. Meanwhile Ashaman, along with his deformed, dreadnought henchman, Kallick have formed an invincible army of the fallen dead to enforce the power of his prophesy. To this end and following a long night of festering rumour Meridian is taken and the people inevitably turn to the power of dark energy. Can evil be beaten? Can the demons be slain? Can the young pretender Ursa the Bear, the son of Uri overcome fears of his own past and find enough courage to carry out the long-held promise of finally bringing an end to the power of the Dark Energy?
Biographie:
Chris Sharpe - Author Profile When Chris was seven or eight, his teacher asked the class to write a short story and bring it to school the following Monday. When he presented her with his inspirational effort she read it, ripped it in half and threw it in the bin. 'Your father wrote that!' she accused, implying that he couldn't possibly have produced something of the quality she'd just read. Ever since then he's been trying to prove her wrong. After countless failed attempts to get the interest of a publisher, Chris made it into the last sixteen of a national writing competition organised by HarperCollins with a book was called Hooked. In spite of the event being televised, fame was short-lived and there was still no interest or offers of publication. Following some sound advice from Sophie Hannah, one of the judges of the competition, Chris set about writing more books with renewed enthusiasm. Rather than take his new books around the traditional publishing houses, Chris decided to self-publish them both as eBooks and in print, starting with the Liberator series. He continues to strive for recognition. Chris works as an addiction counsellor and lives with his wife in Worcestershire. UK....
