Biographie:
L.L. Richman has a diverse career background, having spent more than a decade working in radiation physics, and twice that as a director of film and video. Richman is also a pilot and avid photographer. The Biogenesis series explores both the biophysics of chirality and the intricacies of high-energy radiation physics in a fun and entertaining way. I passionately believe that learning can be fun. I think science fiction is an especially powerful medium in which to do this. It serves up knowledge, education, and an expansion of our awareness -- not just of the sciences, but of our own human condition -- in an engaging and easy-to-grasp way. I also believe that to stop learning is to allow a part of you to die. Hopefully, if I've done my part right, it won't feel like learning. Instead, you'll find yourself immersed in an engaging story, and come away having learned something you hadn't known before you began this journey. A 'NASA brat' raised by parents who both worked at the Johnson Space Center, some of Richman's earliest memories center around Mission Control, astronauts, and fast planes.
