He was the leader and lead singer for the popular Las Vegas show group The Checkmates Ltd who were voted by their peers, Lounge Act of the Year many times. They were one of only two acts who appeared in the Lounge and the Main Showroom of Caesars Palace Hotel at the same time. He co-wrote the title song of the groups first charted single and album of the same name Love Is All I have To Give' with iconic pop producer Phil Spector who produced the album He co-wrote and starred in the groups hit motion picture 'The Black Connection, Executive Produced and performed on the sound track album.
