Présentation Seven Steps To Treason de Michael Hartland Format Broché
- Livre Policiers
Résumé :
Brutal violence has swept across a strife-torn Poland, a spark that could set the Soviet prison of Eastern Europe ablaze. Desperate to avoid history repeating itself, the West has dangerous plans, and Bill Cable, now the British Ambassador in Vienna, finds himself in grave danger. He is being hunted. The faceless men and women trailing him will do anything to stop the fall of the Soviet Union, even if it means the fall of Cable. To prove their intent, they kidnap his daughter, Sarah. But who will he betray, Sarah or his country and the freedom of millions? Praise for Michael Hartland: 'One of the best thrillers I have ever read' - The Independent 'A stunning display of diplomatic and undercover know-how, SAS dare-devilry and global double-cross' - The Sunday Times 'Very good Indeed - a cross between le Carre without the longeurs and Adam Hall with intellect' - The Guardian
Biographie:
Before taking up writing, Michael Hartland spent twenty years travelling widely in Europe and the Far East as a diplomat, then working in counter-terrorism and for the United Nations. He draws on this experience to describe the secret world of espionage with insight and great authenticity. His first book DOWN AMONG THE DEAD MEN was a bestseller and his ground-breaking series of espionage novels established him as one of the leading thriller writers in Britain and the United States. They have been translated into twenty-seven European languages and Japanese, adapted for BBC Radio-4 and television - and remain among the most fast-moving and gripping spy novels ever published. Michael has also made documentaries on espionage for television and BBC Radio-4; and written for The Times, Daily Telegraph and The Guardian. He and his family live in Devon, where he is working on a new project inspired by contemporary Islamic terrorism.
